Recording equipment
The recordings were done by means of a digital recorder (Fostex FR-2LE) and two AKG
C451 B microphones placed on the table in front of the speakers. The recording took place at
a communal house belonging to the ‘hembygdsforening’, see below.
The speakers
The set consists of five speakers, three men born in 1934, 1939 and 1942, and two women,
born in 1948 and 1949. They were contacted through the contact information on the website
of what in Swedish is called ‘hembygdsförening’, that is, a society of people interested in
local culture and history.
